Howard QuackenbushDr. L. Howard Quackenbush II P.T., D.P.T., ATC, CSCS

Dr. L. Howard Quackenbush II P.T., D.P.T., ATC, CSCS is the owner and director of Delta Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine. He loves the rural area and has the opportunity to be closely involved with his patient’s both in the clinic and the community.

Howard was raised in Payson, Utah and is the oldest of 9 children. He attended Payson High School and later Brigham Young University. He originally thought Mechanical Engineering was his path in life until the first classes in this major when he quickly found this was not his peer group. Shortly after this, he suffered a knee injury and underwent surgery and rehabilitation prior to his LDS Mission to Venezuela.

Upon returning from Venezuela, he re-injured his knee and again underwent surgery and Physical Therapy and found that he was fascinated by the body’s ability to heal and regain function. His Physical Therapist was instrumental in guiding him forward into this career path.

He graduated from BYU in Athletic Training. While in this program, he was able to be the lead student trainer and the President of the Student Athletic Training Association for BYU and the District Association. He provided care for Division I Football, Basketball, Tennis and Track and Field. He successfully passed the National Athletic Training Examination on the first try and was awarded the Athletic Training Certification (ATC)

After BYU, he was accepted at Washington University School of Medicine’s Program in Physical Therapy for a Master’s Degree. During this education, Howard had opportunities to gain additional education in Sports Medicine with Professional Baseball and The National Hansen’s Disease Center in Carville, LA (Leprosy and Diabetes). He successfully completed this program and passed the exams and Licensure in 1994.

He began working for Intermountain Healthcare in Delta as a staff Physical Therapist in December 1994. Where he was able to grow and develop in the profession.
In 1996, Howard completed and passed the exams for the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)

In 1999, he had the opportunity to buy the clinical program from IHC and privatize the care. This was formalized and Delta Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine PC was opened in 2000.

In 2002, Howard was invited to use his Physical Therapy and Athletic Training skills in the Salt Lake City Winter Games (Test Games and Olympics) by working with the Figure Skating and Short Track Speed Skating events.

During this time, Physical Therapy advanced to a Doctorate level profession. He knew he would practice for many more years and elected to go through a Transitional Doctorate in Physical Therapy through Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. He graduated with his tDPT in August 2004.

Howard is married to his sweetheart Tonya Bunker and they have an active and growing family.

Randy StinsonDr. Randy Stinson, PT, DPT

Randy was raised with a Father in the Air Force and spent much of his youth living in Western Europe. He Graduated high school from Layton High and served a mission for the LDS church in the Netherlands. After he got home, he married and went to BYU where he got his bachelor’s degree in exercise science and his first child was born. After BYU he went on to obtain his doctoral degree in physical therapy from Washington University in St. Louis where his second child was born. After Graduating from PT school Randy moved to Delta and has enjoyed working and living in this community since 2010. He has had two more children here in Delta and helps serve the community as a member of the local sheriff’s posse/search and rescue.

Scott AllenDr. Scott Allen, PT, DPT

Dr. Scott Allen was born in Fillmore, UT and raised a short distance away in Flowell, UT. He graduated from Millard High School in 1999. After graduation, he served a two year LDS mission in Charlotte, NC. Following his mission, Scott received a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University, and completed a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Touro University in Nevada.

He enjoys hunting, fishing, athletics, and spending time with his family. He is married to Jessie Allen and together they have three young children.

Scott specializes in vestibular and balance therapy, manual therapy techniques, and outpatient orthopedics.

Andrew Michael WankierDr. Andrew Michael Wankier, PT, DPT

Dr. Andrew Michael Wankier was born in Delta, Utah. He graduated from Delta High School in 2007. He then served a two year LDS mission in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon returning home he married Gentry Mecham, who is also from Delta, UT., in 2009. Andrew attended Southern Utah University where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Human Nutrition. Following his time at Southern Utah University, Andrew attended the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona where he graduated on 2017. Andrew most recently worked as a Physical Therapist for Independence Rehab, living in Utah County.

Andrew and Gentry have 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl. Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, camping and various sports. Andrew and Gentry are glad to be home again in Delta, as are their 3 children.

Joy PartridgeDr. Dustin Kunz DPT

Dr. Dustin Kunz was born and raised in Fillmore, UT. After graduation, he served a two-year LDS mission in Tacoma, Washington. Upon returning home, Dustin received an Associate’s Degree from Snow College, a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Utah, and completed a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from West Coast University in Los Angeles, CA.

When it’s time to play, Dustin enjoys spending time with his family going up the canyon or hiking around. He also enjoys being a coach for the high school football team. He loves competing, even if its stupid (once got into a rock throwing contest when ammo ran out and he was tied with a friend in clay pigeon shooting. You guessed it, he lost. It wasn’t an actual event, just a Tuesday. He also loves weightlifting and conditioning. So much so that he received a certification as a strength and conditioning specialist, CSCS. He is married to Kaylee Kunz and they currently live in Fillmore.

Jamie graduated from Delta High School in 2000. She attended Utah Valley State College prior to getting her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Salt Lake Community College in 2004. She began working for Delta Physical Therapy following graduation in 2004.

Erin SorensonErin Sorenson, PTA

Erin graduated from Juab High School in 2004. She received her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Provo College in 2009. She began working for Delta Physical Therapy in 2009.

Jamie IpsonJamie Ipson, PTA

Jamie was raised in Oak City, Utah and graduated from Delta High School in 2011. She attended Southern Utah University prior to receiving her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Dixie State University in 2016. She practiced in Cedar City before joining Delta/Fillmore Physical Therapy in 2017.

Drew Nielson, PTA

Drew’s healthcare career began with a degree in athletic training from BYU and continued with a Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Provo College. Currently pursuing a transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Findlay, Drew’s career choice is driven by his love for figuring things out.

As a PTA, Drew finds immense joy in helping patients unravel the mysteries of their ailments and guiding them back to their favorite activities. Witnessing the happiness and relief that patients experience as they progress is what fuels Drew’s passion for his work.

Drawn to our team during a clinical rotation in Delta, Drew was impressed by the business, the welcoming staff, and the commitment to providing excellent care. His love for small towns solidified his decision to join us.

Outside the clinic, Drew is a family man, spending quality time with his wife and kids. An aficionado of smoked foods, he enjoys firing up his smoker and sharing his cooking talents with all around him. Drew’s humor and quick wit keep the team on their toes, making him a valuable and entertaining member of our clinic!

Shianna, armed with a PTA degree from Salt Lake Community College and a recent bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration from Utah Tech University, embodies a true love for everything related to physical therapy. With a special focus on pelvic floor rehabilitation, she thrives on playing a crucial role in patient recovery and contributing to their journey towards a happier, healthier life.

Her journey to Fillmore was a great blessing to our team and she immediately felt right at home. Now an integral part of our team, Shianna serves as our dedicated pelvic floor specialist based in the Fillmore clinic.

Beyond the clinic, Shianna cherishes moments with her adorable children and her husband. A talented multitasker, she enjoys baking, watching movies, and actively participates in teaching and choreographing dances for high school athletes. Despite her dislike for winter, Shianna embraces the outdoors whenever the sun graces the sky, making the most of every sunny day.

Tonia’s journey in healthcare began at Dixie State University where she earned her Physical Therapist
Assistant degree. Her choice of this field is driven by the joy she finds in helping patients surpass their goals and achieve tasks they once thought were impossible.

During her education, Tonia had the opportunity to complete a clinical rotation at the Fillmore clinic, instantly falling in love with the lively atmosphere and the commitment to quality patient care at Delta/Fillmore Physical Therapy.

In her leisure time, Tonia is an adventurer at heart, camping, hiking, and exploring in her side x side with her family. A multifaceted individual, she also enjoys quiet moments with a good book and showcases her creative side by crafting beautiful crocheted afghans.

Tonia not only brings a vibrant energy wherever she goes but is also a part of the incredible charity, “This One’s for Patty,” dedicated to making wigs for cancer survivors. Her dedication to both her profession and philanthropy reflects Tonia’s vibrant spirit and commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Samantha Johnson, PTA

Sam is a graduate of Salt Lake Community College and holds a title of Physical Therapist Assistant. Her passion for physical therapy stems from the joy of witnessing patients progress, reclaiming their daily lives, and achieving feats they thought were distant dreams.

Originally drawn to our team after moving to Kanosh, Sam started as a PRN hire. Quickly recognized for her invaluable contributions, she seamlessly transitioned to a full-time role, becoming an indispensable asset to our clinic.

Outside the therapy room, Sam’s life is a whirlwind of responsibilities. Juggling a farm and caring for her two adorable children keeps her on her toes. Despite a busy schedule, Sam finds solace in activities such as gardening, traveling, playing her fiddle with Delta’s Old Time Fiddlers, reading, hunting, camping, and riding her 4-wheeler.

When asked if there was anything else she would like to share, she said, “You are the only person responsible for your life. If there is anything you don’t like, or want to change, you are the only person who can do that. Sometimes you need to take a critical look inside and get out of your own way to make the change.”

shayleeShaylee Fowles, PTA

Shaylee, a 2022 graduate from Dixie State University’s PTA program, swiftly became an integral part of the Delta Physical Therapy team. Her career choice reflects a deep love for working with people and witnessing their progress and achievement of goals.

Having experienced the welcoming environment at Delta Physical Therapy firsthand while receiving treatment for her injuries, Shaylee chose the clinic as her workplace. This choice was influenced by the positive atmosphere and the compassionate team that had once aided her recovery.

Outside the clinic, Shaylee’s interests extend beyond the healing realm. She finds joy in hunting, farming, and spending time in the great outdoors with her husband and family. However, her ultimate guilty pleasures are buying shoes and getting drinks with Jamie!

toriTori McCain, Patient Care Coordinator

Tori, a Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School graduate, made a life-changing move to Delta to be closer to family. Now, she’s found a role as a Patient Care Coordinator at Delta/Fillmore Physical Therapy, where she enjoys connecting with patients daily.

While Tori works, her two daughters love spending time with their grandparents! When she is not working, Tori still enjoys doing hair, going on drives, and watching movies. Her favorite pastime? Chasing her two adorable daughters around!

Rayette Jones, Patient Care Coordinator

Rayette, with a degree in early childhood development, joined our Fillmore team as a Patient Care Coordinator after a brief hiatus from the working world.

Her favorite aspect of working in physical therapy is the daily interactions with people. Rayette enjoys the connections formed with patients and the diverse personalities she encounters.

In her spare time, Rayette finds joy in the simple pleasures – spending time with her family and ensuring the well-being of those around her. Rayette’s quiet dedication adds a unique and valuable touch to our team.

McKenna White, Patient Care Coordinator

McKenna is a proud graduate of Southern Utah University and a Master of Esthetics from Taylor Andrews Academy, brings a unique blend of expertise to our team. Her passion lies in being a part of the medical community, serving people of Millard County.

In her role, McKenna finds an immense fulfillment in witnessing the progression of each person who walks through the door. The joy of seeing someone regain abilities they thought were lost is what motivates her every day.

Outside of her professional commitments, McKenna embraces the joys of motherhood, being a proud mom to a super cute 1-year-old. While spare time is a luxury for her, she channels her creativity into various outlets – dance, painting, drawing, music, and reading.

McKenna’s family plays a significant role in her life, and she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and baby boy. Traveling and playing volleyball are among the activities that bring them closer together. McKenna, with her multifaceted talents and commitment to both her profession and family, is a valuable asset to our team.

Our staff consists of licensed Physical Therapists and licensed Physical Therapist Assistants. Nearly all of our staff has additional professional credentials and extensive community involvement. We believe in being strong community supporters and good neighbors.
